Periodontal Diseases
Periodontal diseases are urethritis diseases which affect gingiva and other tissues support teeth. 70 per cent of tooth loss at adults is just because of periodontal diseases. When these diseases are diagnosed early, they can be treated easily and successfully.
When patients prevent periodontal diseases, or treat them in an early period, they preserve their original teeth, they chew more comfortable and digest better. Periodontal diseases start with gingivitis. That is gingivitis is early period of periodontal diseases. In this period, gingivitis is bleeding, red and bigger size. They may not give much pain to the patient in early period.
There are many findings of periodontal diseases. These may be sequenced as bleeding gingivitis during brushing, red, swelling and sensitive gingivitis, easily removing and separating gingivitis, weeping between teeth and gingivitis, swinging teeth and space between teeth (space between teeth and enlarging these spaces), changing relation between upper and lower teeth during biting, change and deterioration at partial denture and bad breath. At the same time, periodontal diseases can reach later stages without giving any findings. That’s why you should see a gingival diseases specialist at regular intervals.
